Hello, I’m Kate. I am a writer, mother, and about a million other things that comprise the whole. Homecoming is my newsletter about finding home — by taking the path less traveled.

I am the author of The Modern Caravan: Stories of Love, Beauty, and Adventure on the Open Road. I spent four years living nomadically, which changed me in fundamental and irrevocable ways, and most recently, I settled down with my wife and teenage daughter in a small house in the woods and wrote the first draft of a memoir, which I am currently revising.
